When was the last time you missed your salah?
When you prayed after the time has passed?
How many times have you missed your prayer during the past week, month, or year?
For most of us,
the number of times will be too many to recall.
Allah is Al-Haleem,
the Forbearing.
He overlooks our sins and mistakes, such that He does not seize us immediately upon sinning.
Rather,
He gives us many chances before He takes us to account, and He gives us time to turn back to Him in repentance.
This is why we keep missing our prayers.
We don’t immediately face any consequence, and so we convince ourselves that Allah will continue to give us chances, and that tomorrow, next week, month or year, we will reform ourselves and be punctual in our prayers.
But we fail to remember that Al-Haleem gives us respite until an appointed time, and once that time comes, there will be no tomorrow, next week, month, or year to pray.
One of these days you will miss your prayer, not knowing that the angel of death was already sent to take your soul.
And to Al-Haleem you will return.
